RM of Meeting Lake’s story

The Rural Municipality of Meeting Lake No. 466 incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913. It takes its name from Meeting Lake, which lies in the northern part of the RM.

Today the RM includes the organized hamlets of Mayfair and Mullingar, along with a number of localities: Crescent Beach, Green Canyon, Lorenzo, Meeting Lake, Oscar Lake, Ravenhead, Sand Beach and Shady Bay. The RM office is in Mayfair, and the elected council meets on the second Thursday of every month.
